Our story
Baba Linda
Why I do it this way
Fifteen years in this industry teaches you where the money actually goes.
A customer pays for the yard, the showroom and the sales floor whether they want any of it or not. None of it makes the car any better.
I went out on my own to put that money somewhere more useful. Back in the customer's pocket.
That's the business decision. The reason I care about it is older than the business.

I was raised by my grandmother.
She was born in Auckland to immigrant parents who had very little and couldn't speak English, and she built her own version of the Kiwi dream out of hard work and a very clear sense of right and wrong.
She was Baba to me. She was Baba Linda to half the kids on the block, because her door was open and if you were there at dinner time, you ate.
She never sat me down and explained any of this. She just lived in a way that made it obvious.
Work hard. Be fair. Keep your word. Look after people.

And the one that became the business
Do the right thing even when nobody is watching.

A car has things wrong with it you can't see.
When you buy one, you're trusting what somebody else did when you weren't there. So here is what you get from me.
- 01
I'll tell you what's wrong with a car as readily as what's right with it.
- 02
The work is finished before you see it, not promised afterwards.
- 03
If it isn't the right car for you, I'd rather say so and keep the relationship than make the sale and lose it.
Most of my business comes from people sending their friends and family. That only happens if the first deal was a fair one.
Motor Flow is mine.
The standard it runs to is hers.
If you'd like to talk about a car, or about what you're trying to find, get in touch. You'll be dealing with me.
